Requirements on Linux
Linux on x64 with systemd. The Temple also needs tmux, zstd and git, and Claude Code signed in. Install the tools with your package manager:
# Debian or Ubuntu
sudo apt install tmux zstd git
# Fedora
sudo dnf install tmux zstd git
# Arch
sudo pacman -S tmux zstd git
Install Claude Code, then run claude once to sign in:
curl -fsSL https://claude.ai/install.sh | bash
Install on Linux
In the folder you downloaded to:
tar -xzf linux-x64-Temple-Setup.tar.gz
./installer
Then open Temple from your app menu. It checks this channel when it opens and every half hour. When a new version is out it tells you, and one click updates it.
On a Mac
Install the tools with Homebrew, then Claude Code, and run claude once to sign in:
brew install tmux zstd git
curl -fsSL https://claude.ai/install.sh | bash
This build isn't notarized by Apple yet, so macOS stops it the first time. Open System Settings, go to Privacy & Security, and choose Open Anyway next to Temple. You only do this once.
